Programs Offered
Level I - Our Level I program
is 4 hours in duration. This program covers the basic ABC's
of a fall protection system, current applicable legislation.
Students will learn to conduct a detailed pre-use inspection
of a full body harness and a shock absorbing lanyard. They
will also don and learn how and why they should properly
adjust their full body harness.
Who Should Attend: Level I was developed for those workers who are generally working at heights less than 100 hours per year; only work at heights from a power elevated work platform or for safety managers who wish to gain a general understanding of fall protection basics.
Level II - Our Level II program is 8 hours in duration. This
program covers the components of a Fall Protection System,
current fall protection concepts and current applicable
legislation. In addition to the theory part of the program
there will be hands on exercises. Students will inspect
and use a variety of fall protection equipment such as harnesses,
lanyards and anchor connectors. *(BCRSP has awarded this
course 0.5 CMPs)
Who should attend: Level II was developed for those who are supervising workers at heights and workers that work at heights regularly. Typically these workers use a variety of access equipment such as powered work platforms, ladders etc.
Level III program is 16 hours in duration. This program covers the components of a fall protection system, critical concepts, current legislations and applicable standards (CSA/ANSI). Day one explores maximum arrest forces, (MAF), peak fall arrest forces (PFAF), students study the hierarchy of fall protection and develop an understanding of fall protection approaches. On Day two, students are immersed in regulations, standards and current best practices that apply to fall protection. *(“BCRSP has awarded this course 1.0 CMPs)
Who should attend: Level III is for supervisors, health and safety professionals and workers who need a greater understanding of fall protection in their jobs.
Level IV program is 32 hours in duration
(4 days) This program was developed for facilitators who
must design and deliver a 4 hour course to their students.
Over the 4 days students will cover the why do I need fall
protection, when do I need it and how do I use my fall protection

Note: Those attending Level IV must have Level III or equivalent. Passing grade for Level IV is 90% (open book). Level IV also includes a half day inspection of fall protection equipment.
Fundamentals of Fall Protection Equipment Inspection
Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) has awarded this course 1.0 CMPs - 16 hour course.
The Fundamentals of Fall Protection Equipment Inspection program is offered for 8 hours or 16 hours in duration. The participants will learn how to inspect typical fall protection equipment.
A large portion of the course will be hands on with used fall protection equipment. Participants will first be shown how to properly inspect a personal fall arrest system. Then in groups the participants will inspect each piece of equipment given to them and document their findings. Through out the program there will be on going discussions on how the participants arrive at their decision to pass, fail or repair a piece of equipment.
